Happy Holidays!

Wow! I cannot believe it is December already. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Christmas will soon be here and it is that time of year again; time to shop, bake, wrap and of course stamp! I still have yet to make my own Christmas cards and am feeling the pressure. December always seems to be a crazy whirlwind of events that go by much to quickly. I am looking forward to spending some time with family and enjoying the things we like to do most during this special season.

With the New Year will also come my one year anniversary at Stamping Memories. I have had so much fun this past year sharing my passion for stamps and inks with so many wonderful people. I am so grateful to Nanette for offering me the wonderful opportunity to teach at one of my favorite stores. Thank you to all of you who have been faithful students, I hope that I have inspired you, because you have definately inspired me. I will continue to try and offer creative classes with cards and techniques that I am proud to teach.

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Card Factory

My first Christmas Card Factory class was last Thursday and the ladies did such a nice job! It was alot of pressure on them to make so many cards in a two hour class but they made me proud. We went a little over schedule but everyone left with 20 handmade cards ready to send or give. We had alot of fun too! I am offering a repeat Christmas Card Factory class in early December so you will have another chance to attend if you couldn't make it to the first class. The December class schedule has not been posted yet but should be very soon. Here are a couple of photos from the class and the cards that we made. It's beginning to look alot like Christmas!

Confessions of a Slacker!

I will admit that sometimes I work best when under pressure. I had two brayer classes last Thursday and on Wednesday afternoon I still needed to come up with a third card. So feeling inspired by Halloween and wanting to include a masking technique in class, I came up with this tree sillouete card. I literally just cranked out my sample, not putting to much thought into it so that I could move on to prepping the materials. Well wouldn't you know, everyone in both classes raved about it and declared it their favorite of the three cards we made.

This just goes to prove that sometimes it is best when you don't overthink things and just do what you know and like and trust your own creativity. I need to apply this method of thought to my scrapbooking as well, then maybe I won't be so far behind!

Also, the dates have been set for The Christmas Card Factory; Thursday, November 12th (1o am & 7pm) and Thursday, December 3rd (10am & 7pm). Please call the store to register, hope to see you there!

Happy Fall!

I cannot believe that it is already October! Fall is here and it will soon be time for one of my favorite holidays, Halloween! Things have been a little upside down in our household with school beginning, work, classes and all the other crazy things life has thrown at us lately. I am so ready to get back into a creative groove.

I have some great classes coming up this month at Stamping Memories and they are already filling up, yeah! I am busy planning my classes for the upcoming months and soon the paper will fly. There are so many great new holiday stamps that it is hard for me to decide what I want to use, I want it all! There will definately be another Copic class and a Holiday Card Factory class, where we will really get into the holiday spirit and make 20 cards! More details to come soon.

For now, I will share these really cute cards from my last Copic class. I just love Stamping Bella and my Copics. Everyone who took the class did a great job and really loved the stamps. I hope you like them too. Remember, when it comes to Copics...practice, practice, practice!
